Parents/Carers of students in Years 7 to 11 - seasonal flu vaccinations (nasal administration) will be taking place in school on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th November 2025.

Please complete the decision form https://www.somersetsaint.co.uk/Forms/Flu by midday on Monday 24th November 2025.  (Blue School Code SM137285). (The same form can be used to indicate that you do not give consent). 

The school hosts NHS Somerset SAINT (School Aged Immunisation Nursing Team).  Vaccinations are administered by NHS SAINT staff and SAINT manage all aspects of consent.   

NHS guidance - Child Flu - can be very unpleasant for children and can sometimes cause serious problems, such as pneumonia.  Each winter in the UK, thousands of children who do not have a health condition need hospital care because of flu.  Children can catch and spread flu easily. Vaccinating them also helps protect others who are at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu, such as babies, anyone who's pregnant and older people.
