Google Classroom is our online learning platform.
It is used for homework activities throughout the year and if there is a period of self-isolation or lockdown it will take over as your main learning tool at home.
You should log in to Google Classroom using your email@example.com email address and the same password that you use to log in to computers on the school network.
Information on subject timetables, live sessions and Q&A sessions will appear here in the event of a lockdown.
Depending on the circumstances, you will be set tasks on Google Classroom by your subject teachers. They will also provide you with submission deadline dates.
If you need to, you will be able to ask your teacher questions about the work that you have been set by posting comments on the 'stream' function on the class page. Everyone in the class will be able to read your comments. The teacher will then respond to you using the same stream, typically within 48 hours.
Live Q&A / Support Sessions will also be scheduled. You should be able to pose a question about your work and get a quick response at the times of the sessions.
You are encouraged to submit work to your teachers, using Google Classroom. For instructions on the different ways to do this, see our student guide below.
Check into your tutor group on Google Classroom for a Video guide about creating and submitting work, how to receive teacher feedback and how to attend a Google Meet live session.
