Parents/Carers of students in Year 8 - HPV vaccinations will be taking place in school on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st January 2026.

Please complete the decision form  https://www.somersetsaint.co.uk/Forms/HPV by midday on Monday 19th January 2026.  (Blue School Code SM137285). (The same form can be used to indicate that you do not give consent). 

The school hosts NHS Somerset SAINT (School Aged Immunisation Nursing Team).  Vaccinations are administered by NHS SAINT staff and SAINT manage all aspects of consent.   

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a common virus but infection with some strains can increase the risk of developing certain cancers later in life, including cervical cancer, some mouth and throat cancers and some cancers of the anus and genital areas, it also helps protect against genital warts.
